Youth Living The Faith

Youth Living the Faith

The CPC Youth program serves tweens and teens, from sixth through twelfth grade.  We strive to have fun and exploration as a part of everything we do.  Be it through overnighters, Bible studies, or movie nights, we seek to live life as God’s people.

Junior High

Activities

Several Sundays each month, we get together in the evening for a fun, and sometimes challenging activity.  Examples range from Laser Quest and movies to Taize worship and serving at a soup kitchen.  Check our schedule for the latest activities.

Sunday School

Our Junior High Sunday School class meets at 9:15am and is comprised of sixth and seventh graders.  Youth get to see how stories from the Bible can be applied to everyday life.  Join us in the Youth Room this Sunday!

Senior High

Activities

Every Sunday evening, we get together for a fun, and sometimes challenging activity.  Examples range from Laser Quest and movies to Taize worship and serving at a soup kitchen.  Check our schedule for the latest activities.

Sunday School

Sunday School takes on a new dimension for Senior High youth.  Meeting at 9:15am in the Youth Balcony Room, youth dive into topics that affect their lives.  The class sorts through the issues that face teens and relating Biblical principles as a roadmap.  Come, and see how God is moving in your life.

Confirmation

Confirmation Class is for 8th & 9th graders and runs every Sunday evening during the school year.  The program, which lasts two years, commits students to growing as disciples.  As part of the course, youth learn about the Sacraments, the Presbyterian tradition and confessions, and the life and death of Jesus Christ.

Youth Choirs

Youth have the opportunity to involve the body, mind, spirit, and voice as they experience the vibrant life of the gathered faith community.

Acolytes

Our Acolytes serve as volunteer worship leaders alongside the pastoral staff.  These children and youth consist of grades three and up.  Serving as Crucifers, Bible Bearers, Torch Bearers, and Flag Bearers, the Acolytes help everyone at church see something of the goodness and glory of God when they come to worship.  Acolyte trainings occur three or four times a year.
